One day, a young traveler got lost in the forest. As Malice approached, the traveler froze in terror. But then, the traveler found courage within and started to sing a lullaby his mother used to sing. The power of the positive memory seemed to weaken Malice, and he slunk away into the darkness.
A dark sider story could be about a character called Shadow. Shadow was born from the negative emotions of a war - torn land. He had a cloak that was made of pure darkness. He would often visit the dreams of the soldiers who had committed atrocities during the war. In their dreams, he made them relive every cruel act they had done, driving them mad. However, one soldier realized his wrongs and started to do good deeds. This positive change in him made Shadow unable to enter his dreams anymore.
