A pregnant friend of mine had a very unique hormonal reaction. She became obsessed with the color pink during her pregnancy. She painted everything in the nursery pink, from the walls to the furniture. She even bought pink clothes for herself, even though she usually didn't like that color. She said it made her feel closer to the baby. Another funny story was about a pregnant woman who started doing yoga poses in the middle of the living room randomly. She said she felt like the baby wanted her to be more flexible and she just had to do it right away.
I heard about a date where the two people went to an amusement park. They got on a roller coaster, and during the ride, the guy's false teeth flew out! He was so embarrassed at first, but the girl found it hilarious and they ended up having a great time searching for the teeth later. It's a story they still laugh about.
Well, I heard about a lifeguard who mistook a floating log for a person. He blew his whistle and jumped into the water, only to realize it was just a log when he got closer. It was quite embarrassing for him.
I heard about a woman who went to sleep with her hair in rollers and in the morning, her cat got tangled in the rollers. It took her hours to untangle the cat and her hair was a complete mess.
Well, there was a story about a guy who thought he was a superhero in his dreams. His psychotherapist played along for a while, asking him about his 'powers'. Eventually, through this fun role - playing, they got to the root of his insecurities that were causing these dreams. At a picnic lunch, someone brought a homemade pie. But when they cut into it, they realized they had forgotten to add sugar. Everyone still ate it with lots of ice cream to make it taste better. Another story is that a man ordered a big lunch but accidentally sat at the wrong table and started eating someone else's meal. When the real owner of the meal showed up, there was a very awkward moment.
A friend of mine was traveling in Japan. He went into a public restroom. When he came out, the automatic door wouldn't open. He pushed and pushed but it just wouldn't budge. After a few minutes of panic, he realized he was pushing on the wrong side. He said he could hear people outside laughing when he finally got out.
I heard about a dog in Mississippi that somehow found its way into a school. It ran into classrooms, barking and wagging its tail. The students were overjoyed and the teachers were trying hard to catch it. It was chaos but also really funny as the dog seemed to be exploring and having a great time. Finally, they caught it and found out it belonged to a neighbor who was looking everywhere for it.
One funny ASL story is when a child learning ASL thought the sign for 'bed' was the sign for 'jumping'. So whenever they were asked if they were going to bed, they would start jumping around. It was really cute and funny.
A runner was participating in a race on a very hot day. He got so thirsty that he mistook a bottle of sunscreen for a water bottle. He took a big swig and immediately spat it out, much to the amusement of those around him.
One funny anecdote is about a woman who was on a flight. She had a window seat and fell asleep. When she woke up, she noticed that the man next to her had his hand on the armrest, so she pushed it away. A few minutes later, his hand was back. She pushed it again. This went on for a while. Finally, she looked over and realized that the man was actually asleep and it was his prosthetic hand that kept 'wandering' onto the armrest.
