Can you share your scary dream story?

My scary story happened when I was walking home alone at night. There was a long alley that I had to pass through. Halfway through the alley, I felt a cold hand on my shoulder. I turned around but there was no one there. I started running and didn't stop until I got home.

Sure. I once had a stalker who would follow me everywhere. I noticed the same person always behind me when I walked to work or went to the store. It was really terrifying.

Sure. I was texting with someone who seemed normal at first. But then they started sending really strange and menacing messages like 'You can't hide forever'. I had no idea who this person was or what they meant. I blocked the number in the end, but it still gives me shivers when I think about it. There was just this sense of unknown danger that was really scary.

Sure. 'The Haunting of Hill House' is a great one. The story is set in a haunted mansion, and there are all kinds of strange noises, apparitions, and an overall sense of unease. It plays on our fears of the unknown and what might lurk in the dark corners of old, creepy houses.

My true scary story happened when I was walking home late one evening. There was a figure in a long black coat following me. I tried to walk faster, but it seemed to keep up. I turned a corner and hid in a doorway. When I peeked out, it was gone. But then, as I started walking again, I felt a cold breath on my neck. I ran all the way home, not looking back. It still gives me chills to think about it.

I had a Lyft ride where the car smelled really bad, like something was rotting. The driver seemed a bit out of it too. He was driving erratically. I was worried he might be drunk or on drugs. I tried to stay calm but was constantly on edge during the whole ride. I was so relieved when it was over.

I dreamt I was in a forest at night. The trees were so thick that the moonlight could barely penetrate. I heard growls all around me. Then, a pair of red eyes emerged from the bushes. I tried to run but my legs felt so heavy. It was terrifying.

There was this one time when I was exploring an abandoned building. As I walked through the halls, I saw a shadow moving out of the corner of my eye. I followed it, and it led me to a room with a broken mirror. In the mirror, I saw a distorted face that wasn't mine. I ran out of there as fast as I could. Later, I found out it might have been a trick of the light reflecting off the broken glass.

Once, I was camping alone in the woods. At midnight, I heard strange howling sounds. I peeked out of my tent and saw a pair of glowing eyes in the darkness. I was so scared that I huddled in my sleeping bag, not daring to move until morning. When the sun finally rose, I found out it was just a stray dog.

One of my favorite scary stories is 'The Tell - Tale Heart' by Edgar Allan Poe. It's about a narrator who is haunted by an old man's vulture - like eye. The narrator's slow descent into madness as he plots and executes the old man's murder is truly terrifying. Every little detail, like the way he describes how he hid the body under the floorboards, and then the growing paranoia as he starts to think he can still hear the old man's heart beating, makes it a classic scary story.
