What was the most terrifying part of your 'my courtship horror story'?

In my story about the strange noises at home, the most terrifying part was seeing the shadowy figure outside the window. It was so unexpected and made me feel like I was in real danger.

Well, once I was courted by this person who just wouldn't take no for an answer. They showed up at my work unannounced all the time, which was really embarrassing and made me uncomfortable at my job.

If we assume that in the 'abigail horror story' Abigail is being haunted by a malevolent spirit, the most terrifying part could be when the spirit finally reveals itself fully. Abigail has been feeling its presence all along, but seeing it in its true form, with its distorted features and evil aura, would be truly horrifying.
