Yang Wanli's identity was a Southern Song Dynasty writer, official, and Confucian scholar. He was one of the Four Great Poets of the Southern Song Dynasty, along with Lu You, You Wei, and Fan Chengda. During the Southern Song Dynasty, Yang Wanli served as a professor and secretary supervisor of Lin 'an Prefecture. He was a direct bachelor of Baomo Pavilion and was granted the title of Marquis of Luling Prefecture. His poems were known for their freshness, naturalness, and sincerity, and he was hailed as the master of poetry. In addition, Yang Wanli was also a Confucian scholar and was influenced by the "sincerity" of Confucianism. He used the name "Chengzhai" to encourage himself from time to time.
