How to differentiate between tragedy and comedy
Tragedies usually described tragic stories in which the characters experienced setbacks, pain, loss, and finally faced unbearable endings. Tragedies are often marked by strong emotions, intense rhythms, and powerful performances. Comedy, on the other hand, was focused on using humor, comical, irony, and other means to make people reflect on life and satirize social phenomena in laughter, showing an optimistic and upward spirit. Comedies were often presented in a relaxed and humorous way to bring pleasure to the audience. A drama was a serious and dramatic work that emphasized the conflicts and struggles between characters in terms of morality, responsibility, beliefs, and the growth and transformation of the characters. A proper play was often marked by profound thoughts and cultural implications, rigorous structure, and superb acting skills. Therefore, tragedies and comedies could be distinguished from each other in terms of their characteristics, plot, character creation, acting skills, and so on.
