Can retell the story of a fable
1 answer

A long time ago, there was an old man named Sai Weng who lived in a small village. He was very smart but very conservative. He always thought that everything had two sides. It could bring good luck or bad luck. One day, Sai Weng's neighbors began to complain about many unfortunate things happening around their houses, such as fires, thieves, diseases, and so on. After hearing the news, Sai Weng thought that these unfortunate things might be related to the lifestyle of his neighbors, so he decided to change his lifestyle. He began to plant fruit trees around his house and encouraged his neighbors to do the same. He believed that doing so would bring good luck because trees could absorb negative energy and reduce the possibility of unfortunate things happening. However, after a few months, the neighbors began to find that their fruit trees were beginning to wither and some people even began to lose their families. After hearing the news, Sai Weng began to complain that his neighbors thought that their way of life had caused unfortunate things to happen. At this time, a wise man passed by the village and heard the story. The wise man told Sai Weng that his way of thinking was too narrow. He only saw the surface of things and ignored the more possibilities that might exist behind them. The wise man suggested that Sai Weng should relax his mind and see the nature of things, not make judgments and decisions easily. Sai Weng listened to the wise man's advice and began to re-examine his own life and the lives of his neighbors. He found that although his fruit trees had reduced the number of unfortunate events, some of his neighbors 'fruit trees had become more prosperous. They had become richer, healthier, and happier. Sai Weng finally understood that different choices would bring different results, good or bad. Therefore, he decided to continue to maintain his own lifestyle, but at the same time, he learned to respect and tolerate the different choices of his neighbors and face everything in life with a positive attitude.

Ebony's Fable

Ebony's Fable

Ebony had never been very… normal. Neither was his upbringing, but it didn’t stop him from living a somewhat normal life. His younger school years had quite some disruptions but all else went as per normal. Left alone after he turned 15 and was deemed old and capable enough to care for himself. He went on graduating high school and entering a university with no issue. Ebony never faced any problem in life. He didn’t lack money. He could see his entire future pan out for him and he was sure it was going to go as expected. Graduate, get a stable job, build up a family, live to a ripe old age together with his partner. Boring. Not that he didn’t want any of that and the building of a family might prove difficult seeing how he had been single for all 20 years of his life. There was little he looked forward to in life. His daily routine of training had been moulded into him from as far back as he could remember and has become a habit and a hobby. Reading was one outlet for his boredom, fantasy, swords and magic, a world unlike his own where perhaps his training would have some use. One moment he was on the way back from a job interview for a part time job, the next moment he found himself in a forest. Freezing... Snowing in the middle of Summer? Not important. Appearing in a forest out of nowhere? Not important. A metre tall and twice as long ripped ass boar in sight? Cool. Charging right towards him? Not so cool.
