"Journey to the West" was one of the four famous novels in ancient China. It told the story of Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Monk Sand, and Tang Sanzang (also known as the "Journey to the West") who went to India to retrieve Buddhist scriptures. At the beginning of the story, Tang Sanzang and his disciples met the monster White Bone Demon outside Chang 'an City. In order to save Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong had a fierce battle with White Bone Demon. After that, they met the Black Bear Spirit, the Fire God of the Flaming Mountain, and the Dragon King of the East Sea. In a series of adventures, they finally found a way to retrieve the Buddhist scriptures. However, they encountered many difficulties and dangers in the process of going to India, such as the obstruction of evil forces, natural disasters, misunderstandings of Indian culture, and so on. On the way to get the scriptures, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Monk Sand also developed feelings for each other and experienced many touching stories. In the end, they successfully retrieved the Buddhist scriptures and returned to China, where they were respected and worshipped by the people. The whole story was full of adventure, friendship, love and faith, and was regarded as a classic in the history of Chinese literature.
