Chapter 3-6 of Water Margins: Introduction, Vernacular

The third to sixth chapters of Water Margins told the story of Song Jiang, the leader of the heroes in Liangshan Lake, and others gathering in Liangshan. This time, Song Jiang and the others learned that the government had captured the righteous men of Liangshan Lake and decided to go to Liangshan to hide. After they gathered in Liangshan, they first established an army composed of various heroes, including Wu Song, Li Kui, Lu Zhishen and other heroes. In the process of gathering at Liangshan Lake, Song Jiang and the others had experienced many battles, including the confrontation with the government and the joint operations with other heroes at Liangshan Lake. They also gradually understood the various factions and disputes within Liangshan Lake and decided to adopt different strategies to deal with different challenges. In this chapter, it also narrated a conversation between Song Jiang and the Supreme People's Court's Chief Justice, expressing their views on law and justice. At the same time, it also showed the sense of justice and heroism of Song Jiang and the others. The third to sixth chapters of Water Margins were about the leaders of the heroes of Liangshan Lake, Song Jiang and others, who gathered in Liangshan. Through the description of the establishment of Liangshan Lake, the establishment of the army, the heroic characters, as well as internal disputes and confrontations, they showed the heroic image and sense of justice of the heroes of Liangshan Lake.
