Chapter 130: Kept me in the dark

"Ryle?" Daisy glanced at the man who seemed to be lost in his thoughts. 

Ryle wrapped his arms around her waist as he hugged her, ''My mother was worried I would have no one to talk to after her so she left me a parrot.'' 

Daisy frowned as she looked at the parrot, ''It doesn't seem that old...'' 

"The one she got for me got sick and died in a few months.'' 

Daisy leaned into his arms and did not say anything. 

''Mommy...'' 

The silence in the room was broken by a soft sleepy voice. 

Daisy stiffened.

One did not know when little Angel woke up but when she opened her eyes and saw the two people hugging each other, her chin wobbled.

The little girl scooted closer to them and her tiny fingers seemed to be trying to grab Ryle's arm, ''Raeel..'' 

''Let me go,'' Daisy was about to push the man's hand away to get off his body but his arm remained firm around her waist.
