Chapter 189: Chapter 189 : News
The talk between Orion and Dumbledore was quite bumpy. The entire conversation revolves around Dumbledore trying to convince Orion to drop his Focus Ring Plan and not to bring those rings into the market.
Orion on the other hand, didn't back down at all. It took him a long time and a lot of effort to make a working prototype of that ring. Not only he will lose money if he doesn't bring those rings into the market but all of the hard work he put into this project will go to waste.
"Sigh, I have never seen a kid more stubborn than you," Dumbledore's usual grandfatherly acting was wavering by this point.
"Well, when it comes to willful you are not bad either headmaster," Orion replied still nonchalant.
"Why are you so apparent about releasing these rings," Dumbledore asked with frustration.
"I told you already. I want others in the wizarding world to learn wandless magic. That is why I write this book and that is why I made that ring. Simple,"
"But why don't you understand that this ring could be dangerous if it falls in the hands of the wrong wizards or witches," Dumbledore said with a tired expression. He wasn't joking at this point at all.
Death Eaters are only one of such kind of people who will use this ring for dark purposes. There are many out there holding the same kind of ambition and thoughts.
"Well if you are only worried about this then I already told you that I can fix that issue for you," Orion said again.
Dumbledore sigh.
Even after this long, he couldn't get to Orion. Ultimately he had no way but to give in and hear what Orion had planned.
"Sigh, you leave me no other choice. Please tell me what you have planned," Dumbledore couldn't do anything but sigh in defeat and said.
"Sure,"

Next Morning.
The morning sun cast a golden glow over Hogwarts as Orion from his bed, his mind still buzzing with thoughts of his argument with Dumbledore the previous day.
He wasn't planning on wasting too much time on Dumbledore but it ended up taking hours. First to make Dumbledore understand that his mind is not changing no matter what Dumbledore do and second to explain his own precaution to the old man.
Only after what Dumbledore said that Orion come up with a good solution. Honestly, even he didn't think much about the problem of these rings falling into the wrong hands. He only planned to first put a lock on the ring so others couldn't do dark magic while using this ring.
But after hearing Dumbledore out, he changes many of his plans. Now he only gonna provide these rings in the school until he comes up with an improved version with many safety features like stopping dark magic and more.
[So technically the product will hit the market next year rather than now] Merlin added.
"Yes," Orion nodded, he didn't want to accept but Dumbledore really kind of convinced him that it was too hasty to make these rings directly available in the market for a price.
Though his plan remains unchanged, there is nothing which can change his mind about this but it inevitably has been delayed for sure.
He shook his head and went on to do his usual morning routine, starting with a series of invigorating exercises to clear his mind and energize his body.
Of course, Rose and Daphne were also present and even now they were only doing physical training.
They were improving and Orion was planning to start with real magic training for them as well.
[Maybe you should create rings for those two girls. It's high time to start teaching them magic] Merlin hmm.
"Yeah and not only that, much tougher times are coming from his year itself. Next year if the story went on like how it went in the movies and books then things are going to get troublesome for them.
I don't plan to stick around in this school for long. Maybe one more year at best. I rather make sure that by the time I leave, they are strong enough," Orion replies with a nod.
Orion although never said it and acted nonchalantly but he was worried for those two girls and even Hogwarts.
Considering what kind of enemy he might face in the future, he hardly will have time to stay in Hogwarts in future.
He might act the strongest but he is not. If he tries then maybe he can handle Dumbledore right now. Arguably the strongest wizard currently.
But that is a delusion. Dumbledore is nothing in compared to what really is in his future. He usually never expresses this to Merlin but he too knows that Merlin himself is a little afraid to this unknown enemy.
There is no way that Orion can fight that kind of enemy which even Merlin is afraid of like this. He needs to get stronger and the only way to get stronger is to move out of this place.
So he planned to train both Rose and Daphne by then, as much as possible. And this rings. Although the basic objective will be the same he also planned to add some more protective spells on those rings for them.
After his workout, Orion made his way to the common room, where he found Rose and Daphne already waiting for him, they were getting used to physical exhaustion.
That is a sign of progress.
Their faces are bright as get where devouring food, they soon learn the wondering a good healthy diet can bring to their body and mind.
[That's not healthy, that is called being a glutton] Merlin rolls his eyes. But Orion just ignored the man.
As the morning sun climbed higher in the sky, hunger gnawed at Orion's stomach, reminding him that it was time for breakfast. With a quick nod to his friends, he made his way to the Great Hall, where the tantalizing aroma of freshly prepared food greeted him.
Taking a seat at the Gryffindor table, Orion filled his plate with an assortment of delicious dishes, savouring each bite as he reflected on the day ahead.
As he was eating just like usual, soon his eyes fell on the newspaper on the table. He was meaning to read some news since the last time Merlin told him that it was important.
But he also wanted to eat.
So put the food back in his place and started to chant something silently in his mind.
While doing the silent chant, there was no chang e in magic but then he snapped his finger. And suddenly the food on his plate started to float on its own. Orion magically cleaned his hands and grabbed the paper by both hands to read it while the food automatically started to levitate to his mouth.
others look at this with wide eyes.
But to Orion, this doesn't matter. What did matter to him was what he was seeing in the paper.
