It was a quiet night like any other in New York City in 1994, it was around 3 am when in front of a house in the borough of Queens, a strange golden figure materialized that could not be recognized in any way, in his hands he carried what looked like a basket full of blankets that moved a little.
The figure walked up to the front porch of the house, and placed the basket right in front of the front door, before using one of its golden light-wrapped hands to ring the house bell repeatedly over and over again.
"My work is done, enjoy your new life," The golden figure said in a monotonous and emotionless voice, before disappearing from existence as if it had never been there.
The strange thing is that the figure left his basket behind, and in a few moments noises began to be heard from inside the house, the lights inside the house came on and the door was quickly opened revealing a couple formed by a man and a woman. female, both appeared to be over 38 years old.
"Who's there?" The man asked as he looked around the entrance of his house since someone had rung his doorbell at 3 am.
"Ben look there ..." The woman pointed her finger at a basket with blankets inside it that moved slightly.
Cautiously, the man known as Ben used his hand to pull the blankets a bit aside, but they were both speechless the next second, as there was a baby inside the basket ...
This baby had night-black hair, white skin, and red eyes that looked like rubies that reflected the moonlight.
In the baby's chest, there was also a letter that was taken by the woman.
-For who reads it.
-This is my son, I can't take care of him and I don't want to take him to an orphanage.
-Please, I ask you with all my heart to take care of him and raise him as his son since he deserves a mother and father who love him with all their heart.
-His name is Alexander.
The woman read aloud for her husband to hear, this letter surprised both of them since a baby that was not loved by her mother was left at her door.
"Ben, what do we do?" The woman asked with anguish in her voice, after all, it was a baby that had been left at her door, they can't leave it there! Something bad could happen to him ...
"Don't worry May, why don't we adopt him? After all, we've always wanted a child" Ben said as he used his hand to stroke the baby's head, who was now sound asleep.
"Ben are you serious?" May had tears in the corners of her eyes from emotion, she had always wanted to be a mother but she and her husband Ben could not have children, they were thinking of adopting but they had never had the opportunity to do so and the years began to pass as they always put it off.
With great emotion May, she took the baby from the basket and hugged him with an enormous amount of motherly love, after all now they had a child and that could not help but make her happy for the rest of her life.
Ben couldn't help but hug his wife and his newly adopted son.
"Welcome to the family, Alexander Parker," They both said in unison while looking at the sleeping baby with an infinite amount of love in their eyes, since from this moment they were no longer a sterile couple who could not have children, now they were parents of a beautiful baby.
And without realizing it, time began to pass from that night, in the blink of an eye 16 years had passed.
