Chapter 83: Hear My Silence

I noticed there was something different about tonight's dinner. It was Larysa.

Her presence simply changed everything on top of the table. The way she interacted with Marvel, Gilbert, and all the men in this house was as if she was a part of the family. She made the conversation more pleasant. Everybody loved her. The servants adored her. She knew what Marvel liked and what he hated, and all her cooking looked delicious.

Everyone knows Marvel is a picky eater, and she didn't serve what he wouldn't eat.

Maybe, he needs someone like her by his side more than he knows he does.

The silky yet sturdy black fabric of Marvel's jacket slithered past his broad shoulders when I helped him to take off his suit from behind him. I folded the jacket and hung it on my forearm while he was removing his tie. Just like any other night, Marvel's bedroom was moderately lighted and warm.
