Chapter 9: I'm a Beast?!
"Reo-kun", the cute girl once again called out as she ran over.
In the meantime, Reo was utterly confused.
'Did the previous owner really have a girlfriend at such an age?', Reo thought out in shock.
A girlfriend at 10!
What was next?
Having multiple girlfriends at 12 and a harem at 15? Then, getting married at 18?!
Could the previous owner of this body really have been a beast in human skin.
'No! Why did you have to leave me such a mess to deal with?!',Reo complained bitterly in his heart.
He was already thinking of the worst case scenarios where the media would find out about his wrongdoings and start to write a full documentary about how a 10 year old became such a beast at a young age.
They would surely blame the Japanese Educational System and then his face would probably end up on everyone's television screen to serve as a lesson?!
Would he be used as a moral lesson to all those younger kids to not become a beast in human skin, making his 9 generations incompetent in the eyes of society?!
Reo's head was spinning with all types of nonsensical thoughts as he even pictured himself being locked up and giving an autobiography 50 years later on how he regretted all his wrongdoings.
Just as he was thinking about this, the girl had already arrived in front of him.
"Reo-kun! You borrowed my homework last week! You said you would return it on Friday but you didn't!", the girl complained with her cheeks puffed up in anger.
"Eh?", Reo was stunned.
This wasn't how the script was supposed to go.
Wasn't she supposed to come running to him and hug him in a loving manner? Why was she complaining about not returning homework instead?
"I'm sorry, you are?", Reo tilted his head in confusion as he looked at the girl.
The girl seemed to think that Reo was deliberately pretending not to know her. As a result, she stomped her feet down in anger.
"Reo, you big dummy! You are simply pretending not to know me! Have you forgotten that I was the one who helped to cover up for you when you sprayed the whole class in orange paint 2 years ago!", the girl complained loudly.
By now, a number of students were gathered around them, whispering their thoughts.
"Isn't that our school flower, Mikasa? Why is she hanging out with that loser, Reo?"
"Wait, did she say that she covered up for the Glowing Sunrise incident? I knew it! How can such a pretty flower be responsible for such a horrible incident?!"
"Yes! It seemed that she covered up for Reo instead! That little shit must have forced her to do it! Goddamn it, how can he be so cruel to the school flower?!"
"Yes, we must surely repay the grievances that Mikasa-chan suffered for all these years. This guy is simply a beast in human skin who only knows how to take advantage of young and naïve girls! Such a person is why the morality of society is degrading nowadays!"
Reo was speechless.
How the hell did he become the scorn of the crowd all of a sudden?
Also what was this Glowing Sunrise incident that they were talking about.
'Ahh! Too many questions! I need to get away from here first!', Reo complained after racking his brain.
Deciding to get some answers privately, Reo grabbed Mikasa's hand and ran away towards the school building with her.
It was only after a few seconds did the rest of the students wake up from their dazed state.
"Ah! He ran away!"
"Goddamn it! That idiot took away our school's flower with him!"
"After him! A beast like him would surely punish our school flower for leaking his dirty secret! I can't imagine what he would do to our goddess now that he has nothing to lose!"
Just like that, a sense of righteousness filled the hearts of every male student present as they vowed to hunt down Reo to protect their school's goddess.

Meanwhile, Reo had finally left those students in the dust with Mikasa in tow.
It was only after finding an empty classroom, did Reo finally calm down and take a proper look at Mikasa.
Mikasa, the school flower had bright pink hair and together with her cute facial features, she was quite a beauty at such a young age.
Even Reo felt his heart palpitating. It was probably due to him being 10 years old to have such an instinct towards cute girls.
This couldn't be blamed on Reo. He was now in the body of a 10 year old and while his mind was somewhat matured, he was still emotionally unstable as a 10 year old.
Under no circumstances was he actually a pedophile.
When Mikasa saw Reo gazing at her, she instinctively felt frightened and covered herself up.
"W-What are you planning to do? I-I know martial arts so y-you c-can't bully me", Mikasa stuttered, trying to sound brave but in reality, she was trying to hold back her tears.
Reo was speechless.
What the hell was this girl thinking to act like a maiden who was about to have her chastity taken away for the first time by a gangster.
Seeing Reo still looking at her, Mikasa concluded that this fella must be having some dirty thoughts right now and struggled to hold back her tears.
"R-Reo, you big dummy! I-If you d-dare to do anything, I will tell your future wife that you are no longer a pure man"
"T-Then, no one will marry you and you will be a lonely smelly old man at 80!",Mikasa shouted out to threaten Reo.
Reo nearly spurted blood and fainted when he heard that.
No one will marry him!

It was like an arrow after arrow going through him at every second.
He began cursing internally at this girl.
How could a girl at her age have such inappropriate thoughts?!
Reo immediately blamed the Japanese Educational System.
It was because of that stupid system that such people were emerging.
Boys becoming beasts at such a young age as well as young girls having such inappropriate thoughts.
He blamed all of it on the Japanese Educational System.
You wouldn't see these type of problems if you went to Singapore or even to China. Thus, he concluded that it was the fault of the Japanese.
Also, there was this girl!
How could she curse at him in such a manner?! Did she think that he didn't have any feelings whatsoever?!
With that, Reo reached out his hand towards Mikasa.
Mikasa was so scared that she nearly fainted when she saw Reo reaching over.
'This big dummy is actually an evil person. If you dare to do anything, I will never again be friends with you, Reo!', Mikasa complained in her heart as she shut her tear stained eyes with fear.
After a moment, Mikasa felt Reo's hand on her cheek.
She was so scared that she nearly jumped in fright.
'I knew it! This big dummy is actually a bad person! I should have listened to my mother and stayed away from him!', Mikasa complained.
However, contrary to her expectations, Reo didn't stroke or caress her cheek gently.
Instead, he pinched and pulled it hard!
"What nonsense are you talking about?! Lonely at an old age? No one will marry me? You are still young to be thinking of such nonsense", Reo scolded as he continued pinching Mikasa's cheek.
"Ouch!", Mikasa wailed out in grief.
What was this?
Wasn't he supposed to do something bad?
Why was he pinching her cheek instead?
Well, it's also bad but it's not the same kind of bad!
It was only after a good minute, did Reo let go of her with a snort.
Meanwhile, Mikasa cradled her swollen cheek with grievances in her heart.
This big dummy had actually bullied her in a different way instead!
Still, Mikasa couldn't help but be curious.
"You're not going to do anything bad?", Mikasa asked carefully.
Reo immediately entered into rage mode when he heard her question.
Was he such a bad person in her eyes?!
"Do what?! What nonsense are you thinking of, you brat?!"
"Why would I do anything to a little girl such as yourself?!", Reo complained insurmountably.
Little girl!
That struck a chord in Mikasa.
If there was anything she hated more than anything, it was being treated like a child.
Immediately, she stomped her foot in anger and complained to Reo.
"Who are you calling a little girl?! You are a little girl! You're whole family are little girls! Reo, you big dummy!"
Reo just gave her a side glance.
What kind of insults were those? They were barely even passing for a grade schooler and if she expected any of those to have an impact on him, she was sorely mistaken.
Seeing Reo ignoring her, Mikasa's cheeks puffed up as she stomped the ground in anger.
Seeing Mikasa behave so childishly, Reo found that behavior quite cute to be honest.
However, if Mikasa were to hear his thoughts, she would surely jump on him and pull his hair out!
She was genuinely angry and here he was, thinking that it was cute! How could she not be angry then?!
After a moment, Reo suddenly remembered why they came here in the first place.
"Ah, right.....Who are you?", Reo asked her again.
Mikasa had just somewhat calmed down but after hearing Reo's question, her anger flared up again.
This dummy was still pretending to not know her!
"Reo, you dummy! How dare you say that you don't know me?!"
"We knew each other for over 6 years and you are still claim to not know me, you meanie!", Mikasa complained with tears in her eyes.
She was genuinely feeling the hurt this time.
Seeing Mikasa getting upset, Reo immediately waved his hands as he tried to explain in a hurry.
He didn't want to be responsible for making Mikasa cry.
If the school knew about it, they would surely gang on him and beat him up until he called them grandpa.
They were already making such a big fuss about the Glowing Sunrise incident, there was no telling what they would do if anyone saw him making Mikasa cry.
"R-Relax, relax. It's not that I'm pretending not to know you, I actually can't remember"
"I accidently hit my head a 2 days back when I went on a walk and I almost couldn't even recognize my own father then", Reo hurriedly made up an excuse.
When Mikasa heard this, her anger immediately vanished, only to be replaced with worry.
"Y-You really don't remember me?", Mikasa asked carefully.
"No but if you explain about yourself, then maybe I will remember", Reo explained.
Inwardly, Reo started complimenting himself at being such a genius. His skill in making excuses was almost as great as Donald Trump!
Mikasa on the other hand, seemed to be thinking.
If Reo really didn't remember her, then it was quite a bad thing.
Not only would she lose her childhood friend, she would also lose the homework that she lent him!
If Reo were to hear this, there was no doubt in him spurting blood and dying in anger.
Other people would be worried sick if they found out that their childhood friend had lost their memories but this girl seemed to be more worried about her homework instead!
Was there really such a good friendship between them in the first place?
