It's a decent read, I enjoyed every moment of it. mc's Pokemon actually had more character development than some MCs of other stories. Didn't like Maria or how he fell in love. It feels like the author just suddenly said, "I need a love interest." But it gets better. Maria is a Tsundere done right, so she grew on me. So, Writing Quality, even though you got an editor, I still see some minor mistake but not that bad so I'll let that slide. Story development, to be completely honest, I don't see how it could move. It feels more like a slice of life, eventually, I feel that it would gradually get boring though I will still continue to read. Character Design, as I said before Maria grew on me, she's decent. The Pokemon, I love them. Mc, I like him a lot too though the way he falls in love is just wrong. Updating stability, quality over quantity. Worldbuilding, it's great. This world seems to be more similar to the game rather than the anime or manga. add an adult touch and this is the world you got. In the anime, the worldbuilding was great because Ash travels from region to region yet this one hold up too despite being in only one. Now for my personal category, Interaction and battles. Interaction, I love it, a lot. author was able to make the Pokemon feel human from the interactions. and Kirlia is just a cinnamon roll. wonder how she'll be once she evolves into gardevoir. Mc interaction with Maria was meh for me. It was a Tsundere against an aggressive guy.( apology for my wording, what I meant is that Mc is doing the chasing, and he's chasing hard.) I guess it's not a fluffy interaction. There is some fic that did a good job of this fluffy interaction like "A Father's Duty" rip or "Rebirth in Kuroko no Basket" rip which put a smile on my face. but this couple doesn't. I think they don't have chemistry. when they have their little date, I felt awkward and cringe slightly. Because to me, it's like a date where the guy is trying to get into the girl's pants. In fact, my favourite interaction between both of them is an indirect one, when Maria know what mc is planning during the tournament. To me, that was slightly fluffy because there was a sense of trust. Now for Battles which is very important to me. Now because of your title, 'Master of Tactic' I naturally compare mc's style to Ash's. As much as people joke about ash and his power of friendship, he had a lot of interesting strategy and tactics. And this is what I established, I enjoyed ash's battle scene and strategies more. Of course this is probably because of the image but, even if this book had pictures, it wouldn't make a different. To put it simply, Ash's style is a counter, an UNO reverse card, while Mc's is like a hunter setting a trap and timing it right for the perfect attack. I think it's simply because of a mistake Author make, he did not create an element of surprise. Because Mc's style is similar to a lot of characters like giorno from Jojo. But the difference is, i felt pleasantly surprise when Giorno deliver his trap. Simply because I don't know. Writing your plan for battles from the start ruin the experience for me. Imagine the reveal at the final crucial moment if you hadn't explain from the start. That's the power of perspective. Anyway, I would say it was a nitpick, but a battle scene play quite a huge role, so...yeah. continue writing, I wish to tag along this journey all the way to the end. Also, in my opinion, your book deserve a higher ranking.
