I felt weird reading UOT and finding two paragraphs in a row without comments, specially when nearing the end of the book. Every paragraph must get some love !!!!

I will really need to read about their life once they return to Anatol, I can't reconcile with the book ending without that picture in my mind.

At this point I kinda feel like the writing style became a bit lazy. I do not know how to explain this, but the events are hasty and the Snu is more of a plot filler than a symbol of progress in the dynamic between Maxi and Riftan. I think this is the part was written when writernim became frustrated with the illegal translations and decided to end the story.
A few days later, the coalition army reached the northeastern part of the duchy. Maxi stood atop a hill and gazed down at the city.

I love how Riftan thinks of her as "Maximilian" and not just Maxi. Somehow it feels like he is giving her her due reverence.
Gripping his reins, Riftan clenched his jaw. Whenever he was reminded of the deep emotional scars the duke had inflicted on Maximilian, he was overcome with uncontrollable rage. It was all he could do not to turn his horse around and race toward Croyso Castle to hack the man to pieces.

I mean nothing has been solved, Maxi will still defy him and put herself in harms way to be close to him and share all his world with him, and Riftan will keep trying to protect her in every way possible and continue to hide things from her that he thinks will put her in danger, BUT, seing as Riftan is now willing to be vulnerable and actually embrace her, not just physically but with his whole being is reassuring, there will come a time when they will work on their relationship more seriously and I will love every bit of their journey.
