Synopsis
~This is a 'Whispers of a Heart' spin-off.~
If you could have another chance at love, what would you do?
After harboring an unrequited love for fifteen years, Asakura Ryuu finally decided to confess his feelings. However, his love interest, novelist Masato Keita, turned him down.
Meanwhile, Imamura Sato is a young actor who has gone through a difficult time. His dream is hanging on a thin thread, while he struggles with his past. Will he receive a chance to heal, or forever remain trapped in his nightmares?
This new work follows the story of Asakura Ryuu while he tries to make peace with the past and get his heart to beat again. Will he get another chance at love, or remain forever brokenhearted?

As if he was spellbound, Asakura stared unblinkingly, forgetting to move or even breathe.
When he finally woke up from this stupor and spoke, his voice sounded gruff and thick with emotion.
"If I continue, Iโm afraid I might not be able to stop halfway. Are you ok with that, Sato-kun?"
"I don't want you to stop."
After giving this unexpected reply, Sato pushed himself up and wrapped both arms around Asakura's neck, pulling the man closer. Their noses touched and both of them felt a jolt of excitement run through their bodies.
"Are you sure you want this?" Asakura asked again, his magnetic voice coming out in a low whisper.
His warm breath tickled Sato's face, making the skin feel hot and tingly.
"Yes."

Receiving the approval he needed, Asakura didnโt waste another second. He swiftly closed the remaining distance between them, capturing Sato's warm lips with his own.
The ensuing kiss was tender and passionate at the same time, causing both men to become muddle-headed very quickly. Low, seductive pants escaped through their lips, coming in between shallow breaths.

the first thing i notice when i read this is the quality of writing ๐ its soo good. beeing in WN this is a refreshing read ๐ most novels here r in quantity than quality of writing that i almost forgot what it felt like reading descriptive words with correct gramars and such ๐ i have nothing else to say. evrything is perfect. keep up the good work ๐
The way the author writes is very good. He described all the characters well, his grammar is good too. The book itself is very good, made me want to read more of it.
Although I'm reviewing the book, I still am not ready to review it. I have yet to read the entire book. I like the writing style of the author. Instead of telling what the character is feeling, she chose to show it by their expressions and gestures. I literally liked this way of narration. I can see and imagine what Ryuu might have been going through. As much as my hurt hurt for him to not get the man he loved firstly, I understood that they weren't cut for each other. Someone else is made for him. I'm very excited to see how Asakura Ryuu will find in love once again after getting his heart broken once. I'm sure this is going to be huge emotional roller coaster but who doesn't like an emotional love story? At least I do when they are two handsome man present! Moreover, I'm going to read the prequel to the book after or reading this book. I just hope I don't curse them for breaking Ryuu's heart .
I don't belong to this genre at all. i however have the ability to remark at the execution of the story. you can literally feel the character's emotions. This is great work.
Seeing Asakura Ryun as one of the main protagonists in the spin-off really surprised me, but in a good way. I liked his character in the main work so now I want to see his own story developing. His love life is bound to be a stormy one to say te least ๐ ๐คฃ
I'm excited for this new story. The first was very enjoyable so I'm sure this one will be just as good, if not better. Good storyline and writing style. I definitely recommend both of them!
The story was a wonderful surprise, especially after reading the prequel ('Whispers of a Heart'). It was very nice to see Asakura in a different light. Now I'm really rooting for him and Sato! ๐ Looking forward to their story!
This is author-san's shameless 5* review! ๐ฅฐ I hope you will all enjoy this short story as much as I enjoyed writing it. As you might have noticed, this is a 'Whispers of a Heart' spin-off. Initially, I hadn't planned on writing more than one book, but then I fell in love with the characters. So, I ended up working on this second book as well. The stories can be read by themselves, as they follow different protagonists. But it would be it a much better experience if you read them in order.
